Abstract:BACKGROUND: Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) is an X-linked chromosomal recessive disorder, characterized by the progressive loss of muscle function and mass.受这种状况影响的男性经常生活在十几岁或二十多岁的时候，被限制在轮椅上。由于目前尚未对DMD进行治疗，因此互补和替代药物已被广泛用于帮助患者管理状况并提高生活质量。电针仪已证明beneficial results in terms of skeletal muscle protection.
CASE PRESENTATION: Here we have reported a case of DMD aged 8 years, who had proximal weakness in the lower limb which is progressive over a period associated with waddling gait and indicated with Gowers sign which had affected the quality of life.在21天内，用电针治疗患者进行了15次治疗。 The report documented an improvement in the patients motor (Timed Function Test), functional abilities (North Star Ambulatory Assessment and 6-Minute Walk Test), and quality of life (PedsQL 4.0), which had not been noticed previously.
